Captain of Chinese turtle boat sentenced to prison

The case about the Chinese boat that was stopped last May in Derawan, Indonesia, with 397 dead sea turtles aboard was closed recently. The captain was sentenced to 4 years in prison. The crew who apparently were just following orders and who were not aware of the fact that it was illegal to catch turtles were sent back home. The ship and its entire fittings and content were confiscated and the turtles were destroyed in fire.
