On July 24 our park rangers discoverd a hawksbill turtle laying eggs on Sangalaki. Whereas green turtles lay more than 350'000 eggs per year on Sangalaki it is very rare to have nesting hawksbill turtles on the island. The eggs (170) were moved to the hatchery and on September 13 90% (153) of the clutch hatched.
