On July 24 our park rangers discovered with surprise a Hawksbill Turtle laying eggs on Sangalaki. Whilst Green Turtles lay more than 350'000 eggs on Sangalaki each year, this is a very rare event for Hawksbill turtles.
The eggs (170) were moved to the hatchery where 90% of them (153) hatched on September 13.
