What does the Turtle Foundation do?
Turtle Foundation directly intervenes to protect sea turtles from illegal slaughter and nests from illegal poaching, and works with local communities to provide education regarding sea turtles and alternative methods of obtaining income, from tourism, local crafts, and other opportunities.
What projects are undertaken by Turtle Foundation?
The Foundation deliberately focuses on realizable projects of a manageable size. We are currently running several projects in Indonesia and a project on Boavista, Cape Verde, off the west coast of Africa. Further, we support the Indonesian organization ProFauna fighting against the daily slaughtering of turtles in Bali.
